References: this section should contain references to all material cited in the text, using the Harvard convention at all times.  We do not need a bibliography (that is reference to work read in preparation for the assignment but not referred to in the text).

Appendices: you may wish to append any material that you think is vital for a complete understanding of the study, for example data or policy documents that are not within the public domain.  Any material appended should be directly referred to in the main text.

Ethics: you may write about children, their families, colleagues or settings in your assignments but you must always preserve confidentiality by keeping these people and places anonymous, for example, by fictionalising names and settings.  For investigative studies involving people you need to discuss ethical issues and may need to complete an ethics form (for example your dissertation).
