I am doing the research on myself, and I came up with a few ethical concerns. In week one discussion I chose a different topic but ended up changing it because I was informed we have to get informed consent. Not getting consent from people on your study is unethical and causes problems. One they do not know you are studying on them and two you are using their information without their knowledge. A concern is privacy issues that might arise. Even though I include my family members in this study, I have to make sure I am getting consent this is one of the reasons I am using my older kids and my husband.

Another ethical concern is not giving credit to the information you use in your work. Taking information from sources and by passing as your own is plagiarism. During my action research, I am going to make sure I cite the source and give credit. The last ethical issue I want to address is honesty. I am doing the research on myself, but it is my job to make sure I am providing honest information to make progress throughout my research.
