Case Study Report

Task Description

You are required (as a group with up to four members) to write a report based on a given case study. In this report, you need to evaluate Buurtzorgs business systems. You can draw on material from any of their operations around the world. Your purpose should be to focus on the systems that would make this organisation structure work in Australia.   You are required to demonstrate your analytical and modelling skills to communicate your findings from the case study.

Case Study - The Case of Buurtzorg Nederland

Please refer to a brief case study document on the course website. There is a library e-book giving you more insight into the case study that you can download to read on a computer device or simply read it online. Chapters 6, 7 and 8 will provide the main source of material for your analysis and modelling exercise, while the other chapters can provide general back ground material.

Some suggestions for working in a group

Start right away.

Things to consider in order to work effectively as a team:

  • How often are we going to meet to discuss progress?
  • Set tasks for each person to achieve prior to each meeting.
  • How will you handle a team member if they do not do the agreed work?
  • Who is going to submit the assignment into Moodle? The assignment should only be submitted once for the group.

Planning your group report

As a group you should discuss:

  • What are we going to write about?
  • What will the overall structure look like?
  • Who is going to write what?
  • How will we introduce the report, link the parts together and conclude? (Adapted from Gibbs, 1994, p.49)

Here are two suggestions as to how your group might divide up the tasks, and what roles each of you could play:

With four team members separate the report into 4 sections

Roles incorporated in a writing plan with 4 team members

With a team of three you might break the tasks and roles into the following plan:

With three team members separate the report into three sections

Some suggestions for writing the report

You are not simply restating the findings in the case study, but to propose innovative ways to facilitate a similar project in the future.

Identify as a group some innovative ways to facilitate a similar project - These are your claims. A paragraph contains a claim followed by supporting evidence (eg. books, academic journal articles, credible on-line material (Refer to Evaluating Websites for a list of questions to ask to evaluate the validity of the content).

Here are some questions you can ask yourself about a particular bit of evidence. Answering them may help you explain how your evidence is related to your overall argument:

  1. O.k., I`ve just stated this point, but so what? Why is it interesting? Why should anyone care?
  2. What does this information imply?
  3. What are the consequences of thinking this way or looking at a problem this way?
  4. I`ve just described what something is like or how I see it, but why is it like that?
  5. I`ve just said that something happens-so how does it happen? How does it come to be the way it is?
  6. Why is this information important? Why does it matter?
  7. How is this idea related to my thesis? What connections exist between them? Does it support my thesis? If so, how does it do that?
  8. Can I give an example to illustrate this point?

Insta Research is a very helpful place to buy a resume in the first place. I gave them my details and did not expect that they would come up with such an exclusive design. My personality is professionally enhanced through the resume made by them. I am thankful for the depth of my heart as I would have never approached that level of excellence in my resume. Wish you good luck ahead and again thank you!
