[Solved] Why have you chosen this particular career?

Essay Question: Describe the career that you like to pursue after earning a graduate degree. Address issues such as whether you are entering the business world for the first time, changing fields or advancing in fields or organization where you expect to remain. Why have you chosen this particular career? Guide: 1. Describe the career that you would like to pursue after earning a graduate degree. After earning graduate degree I would like to pursue career in Finance/Economic industry. My long-term goals include becoming the Indonesia`s Minister of Finance. I hope to help the Indonesian government stabilize the economy. Ideally, I want to help the Indonesian economy return to the heyday it saw under President Soeharto, when the economy was strong, unemployment was low, and the nation had good business ties with other countries. Thus, by gaining strong financial skills and experience in the United States, I believe that I can help offer guidance to bring Indonesia back to its pre-1998 economy, thereby saving countless people from poverty. 2. My whole life I have been exposed to business, with both my parents being a successful entrepreneur and having studied business in college. However, if I were ask whether I am entering the business world for the first time, changing fields, or advancing in a field or organization, I would say that I am changing field. Though I am in the right track as far as my education go to achieve my goal of helping the Indonesian government recover Indonesian economy, I do not have any experience in that field yet. Until this date have two experiences in business. First: On 2008, I helped my sister to set up a clothing shop, which are now very successful. We started up from opening a small boutique with my sister as the designer. Because the boutique was a success, being located in the Tropical Island of Bali, we started designing and producing souvenir T-shirts and beach dresses, and now supplying to several villas and hotels in Bali, and also to souvenir shops at the Airport. It was this venture that helped me realize that I am talented in business. Second: The next year on 2009, when my parents required me to give a helping hand in the pre-opening process of two new Juice & Smoothies Bars franchise in Bali Islands, Indonesia. I was to take charge of the operations of the stores during their first 8 months of existence. The intend was to provide me with firsthand experience and opportunity to learn and understand the business operation, from the preparation process up to the launching and grand opening, and the daily operations thereafter. 3. Why have you chosen this particular career? When I was young about 7 years old in 1997, Asian financial crisis happened. I was very young so I don`t know what happened. Our family has to move to Australia and stay for 6 months for safety. When it was time for me to go to college, I was sure that I want to study business, but I was not sure of what major to choose. When I finally got into college, I began taking basic courses in business, I discovered that I particularly enjoyed studying macroeconomics. I found learning about the economies of different nations, as well as the world as a whole, especially fascinating. This is also when I start to understand what happened in 1997. Additionally, I enjoyed that this subject required the same thought and analysis as mathematics, yet did not have absolute answers. After discovering this field, I researched which undergraduate major would best prepare me for a future career in macroeconomics and finance. Ultimately, I chose a major in Banking and finance and a minor in Economics.
