Is there a relationship between the “cvd” variable and the other variables listed above?  You should consider all of the other variables, except the patient ID.  Explore the dataset with CVD as the outcome, performing descriptive and inferential statistics where necessary. Write a report, of no more than 2500 words in length, describing the data, and presenting the results in the form of tables/ graphs. Discuss your findings, their implications and possible weaknesses of the dataset.  Remember that it is optional for a marker to consult material found in appendices, so don’t put essential items there.

It is important to present your methods, results and discussion clearly, as if they were being written up for publication in a scientific journal, but with more description of the methods than in a published paper.  Tables and figures should be clearly titled and neatly laid out.  You should not just copy tables from SPSS; you need to give descriptive titles, edit out unnecessary items and combine results from different commands where necessary.  You are encouraged to cite some external references to put the findings in context.
