[Solved]In this project your group is expected to identify a topical and relevant marketing problem, and use your learnings from the course, along with your creativity and problem solving skills to recommend a course of action to solve the problem.

Assignment briefing:

In this project your group is expected to identify a topical and relevant marketing problem, and use your learnings from the course, along with your creativity and problem solving skills to recommend a course of action to solve the problem.

The marketing problem can be related to a company, a non-profit organisation, or an entrepreneurial idea arising from a new technology, a new product/service offering, or a social cause. Your project can either aim to develop and entire marketing strategy or to focus on a specific elements in the marketing mix (such as pricing, communication, distribution channels) that is particularly important for the management.

The marketing problem defined should have an appropriate scope so that it will be feasible for your group to deliver meaningful and actionable recommendations. You need to avoid questions either to broad/complex (What should be Amazon’s new product/service strategy?) or too narrow/tactical (How can the University Starbucks increase customer traffic in the afternoons?)

Please discuss your marketing problem with your tutor as early as possible to make sure that you have identified a proper problem.

Report format:

While there is no rigid format for the report, the following recommended style contains four basic sections:

1-      Problem definition and scope: What problem are you trying to solve? Why is this important issue for the management?

2-      Marketing Environment Analysis: In this section, you are expected to analyse the context of the problem – such as the micro and macro environmental factors that are relevant to the managerial problem and your proposed solution. You can also use appropriate frameworks from your textbook (such as SWOT)

3-      Recommendations: Your recommendations can be both at strategic and at tactical level (such as: which customers segments should be targeted and how can the organisation effectively communicate its message to the right customer?)

4-      Measurement: If your project involves actionable recommendations, how do you measure and evaluate the performance of your proposed actions? What are the key metrics that can be used to measure performance?

In addition to these four components, your project should contain at least one marketing research method by which you collect the necessary information to solve the marketing problem (for example, interviews, focus groups, observation, survey)

The presentation (no longer than 15 minutes) will provide the highlights of your group project. Groups will be randomly chosen by your tutor to present. The sequence of presentations will be announced one week in advance.

Please note: no marks will be given to a student if they are not present with their group on their scheduled presentation time slot.

Feedback to your presentation is normally provided within three weeks of submission.

A brief progress report (1-2 pages) is due week 6. The report should describe the topic of your project, and explain the rationale why it was chosen, why it is relevant and interesting as well as the sources of information and data that will be used for the project. Tasks completed and tasks that will be completed in the remaining time will be explained. This progress report is not marked, but serves a key milestone

As you will see when you read the problems, you are not required to just reiterate what you find in the basic texts. The emphasis is to be upon the application of the knowledge you have assimilated from reading and lecture material. Please feel free to discuss seminar topics with your tutors before commencing work.

My order went 3 hours late and I also went mad. Then the customer support team calmed me down and offered me a flat discount of 50%. However, I did get my order and chilled out as the work was exactly what I requested. Next time I would place my order a bit sooner to save any trouble.
