Scenario

Imagine that you are a psychological consultant who has been contacted by an organisation’s Human Resources (i.e. personnel) department. The department head, Ms. Wellington, has received the following email communication from a company that markets a product called the ‘Enviro-Pod’. The department head is intrigued by the idea, as it could potentially improve the health of the organisation’s staff and reduce sick leave costs. However, no-one in the Human Resources department has a background in psychology so they are unable to evaluate the claims made in the email. They have asked you to review the email and, based on your psychological knowledge, provide the department with a report (maximum 1,200 words) evaluating the claims and making a recommendation as to whether the Enviro-Pod might be useful.
