The two concepts of virtue and fortune are important elements in leadership, only a few scholars have tried to analyze how to use this concept in leadership. Niccolo Machiavelli presents clear arguments to show his concern and how a ruler should be. This essay analyzes two important themes in The Prince which is virtue and fortune; fortune is described as the opportunity given to rule. Machiavelli wrote the Prince to act as a guide for the next
