• Try to locate the DEST ranking of the journal

Having briefly introduced argument, focus, methodology, conclusions), the bulk of your paper should assess the following:

• Has the article adequately defended the issues mentioned above? How?

• How is the research base set out and defended?

• Why has the author used these sources? Why not other sources?

• How has the author defended the project?

• How is the gap in scholarly literature outlined?

Avoid making value judgements about your selected work. You are not being asked whether you found it interesting or convincing, Rather, the purpose of this task is to assess whether this article has set up and defended its sources, argument, focus, methodology and conclusions.
