Are the new relationships we have with work creating a new self at work for many of us? Think about control, time, pay and loyalty etc. How have the relationship between these and the employees been changed? Are we into the age of the precarious worker – and if so what might that mean? Does new technology provide greater freedom for workers or more control for management? 

Remember that you must reference your work properly and use quotation marks for the words of others giving name and page. Only short quotes are acceptable, long ones will not pick up marks. Use the quote as a point of discussion. Avoid the use of the personal pronoun; do not say “I believe”, the essay is about argument not beliefs or opinions. Keep your sentences simple and keep the subject of the sentence consistent. Try to avoid clumsy phrases such as “...due to the fact...” “in the modern world”.
