Video commentary on particular speakers of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSOLS) August 16, 2016 Alton Brown 1 What were the main points of this speaker`s presentation? In his video presentation, Alton Brown discussed points in a person`s life where he/she already feels lost. Times when one is lost, not knowing what to do or where to go. He said that during these times, it is best to "stop," take a deep breath and think. He pointed out the importance of taking “occasional breaks” in life to re-think and reflect on what you really want to do with it. Are you going down the path that you really want? Are you happy with how life unfolds for you? In the latter part of his video he emphasized that this is more common with students. Plenty of students these days pursue a particular degree believing that they love it at first. Though, in the end, most of us (including myself) would realize that we want to do something else, that we love it more, and that we`re better at it. And this is the usual point in our lives where most of us get confused. For Alton Brown, during these times it`s best to "re-think and reflect". 2 How will you apply this information in your life?
