CONTENT:

Name:University:Course:Tutor:Date:Critical Architecture between Culture and FormMichael Hays in his article “Critical Culture: Between Culture and Form” explores two contradictory views in regard to the advantages of architecture. He first expresses the influences culture has on the formation of an object and the purpose of that object. In his interpretation of architecture, Michael used the societal values and historical context which were prevalent at that time. However, this method of interpreting form and purpose of an object can be inaccurate due to the numerous assumptions made about the cultural meaning of architectural design. A part from the above shortcoming, an architectural designer may be influenced by cultural, historical and environmental factors when designing their work, or may be purely influenced by ideas. The views proposed by Michael that an architectural design is influenced by cultures, is similar to the analogy given by Adorno and Horkheimer. The above authors argue that an individual who has just left a movie theatre may perceive the external world as an extension of the movie he has just seen (Adorno and Horkheimer 338). Culture, just like movies influences our mental processes, and perception of the outside world, or shapes our world view. Therefore, cultural factors may influence the form of an architectural design just like posited by Michael, or an individual can interpret cultural values of a given society from its architectural designs. An individual who is interested in comprehending the meaning of an architectural design may either derive the meaning from studying the form, or may study the history.

My order went 3 hours late and I also went mad. Then the customer support team calmed me down and offered me a flat discount of 50%. However, I did get my order and chilled out as the work was exactly what I requested. Next time I would place my order a bit sooner to save any trouble.

Oh my god! This writing company has saved me from so many bothering and figured out my problem in the best way possible. I am not fond of reading and when this book review was given to me as part of my coursework, I went into depression. But I must say, my writer came up with an amazing book review covering all the major aspects of the book nicely. I am waiting for other assignments to come so that I would come here again. The place is good and quite reasonable as well which makes it easy for me to manage my budget.
