Please Note:  The course profile refers to the quiz as being 20 questions and having a maximum of two attempts. 

questions but may be attempted as many times as you wish (with only the last attempt being counted).   As the quiz has already been attempted by some students, the number of questions cannot be changed in Moodle to match the profile, however, to ensure students are not disadvantaged in any way, the total marks that can be awarded for the quiz has been increased by a bonus 5%.  

What does this mean?  
It means that instead of 100 marks (%) being available for the course, there are now 110 marks - 15 (Quiz 1) + 15 (Quiz 2) + 30 (Written Assignment) + 50 (Exam) = 110.  Grades are still calculated out of 100 (so a pass is still 50 marks, a Credit 65  etc.), but now you can score up to an extra 10 marks (5 in each quiz).  

How does this affect me?
Say you score 10/30 in your quiz (i.e. you answer 10 questions correctly), this would have given you a mark of 3.33 out of 10.  With the bonus 5% weighting, this means your mark will be 5/15.  The effect of the bonus and the potential difference in the course outcome can be seen in this example:

Due: 2PM (AEST) Thursday of Week 11.  

The quiz automatically closes after this time. Note that if you have an open quiz, even if you have not answered any questions, it will be submitted.  DO NOT reattempt the quiz UNLESS you are committed to make a genuine attempt as starting a quiz renders the previous attempt obsolete.

The quiz consists of a series of 30 True/False and Multiple Choice questions.

You are allowed to attempt the quiz as many times as you want however, the result of your last attempt will be your final score for the quiz.

Please ensure that you record any details of your submission in case you have a problem i.e. the date and time of your submission.

Please note that the questions are selected randomly from a pool so you are unlikely to be asked the same questions each time you attempt the quiz.  Questions will be drawn from topics in weeks 6 - 10.

You will not be able to see your detailed results until after the quiz has closed.

To attempt and submit the quiz you be connected to the Internet, although it is possible to save and resume the quiz at a later point in time.

Extensions are not possible for quizzes.  If you miss the quiz, then you cannot do it later.
