Introduction

In teaching the English Grammar lesson as in all lessons, the teacher should be adequately prepared. A key part of the preparation is determining the expected entry behavior of learners to ensure their readiness for the lesson. The teacher should also determine the necessary educational goals and aims as pertaining to that particular lesson. This lesson will be concerned with teaching learners English nouns, verbs and adjectives and their usage. The lesson will attempt to ensure that learners can recognize these, and adequately utilize them in sentences. The educational objectives for the lesson will be, by the end of the lesson the learner should be able to;

1 To identify nouns, the different categories of nouns and their usage in sentences.

2 To identify verbs and correctly utilize them in a sentence.

3 To identify adjectives and correctly utilize them in a sentence

Discussion

Noting that this is an entry level class with regard to their command of English. The class will mainly deal with the fundamentals as pertaining to nouns, verbs and adjectives. The initial part of the lesson will be a recap of the previous lesson.
